1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of AIKI, an educational service that helps children aged 6 to 17 learn to think with Artificial Intelligence, under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The owner of the service is Isidro Álvarez Jiménez (Spain).
2. Account and use by minors
- The account is created and managed by an adult (parent or legal guardian).
- The adult is responsible for the child's use of the service and for safeguarding their credentials.
- Each child's profile is always used within the adult's account, which controls access.
3. Acceptable use
By using AIKI you agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes or contrary to these terms.
- Attempt to breach security, access other families' data or interfere with the service.
- Impersonate others or introduce harmful content.
- Upload documents you do not hold the necessary rights to, or that contain other people's personal data —classmates, teachers or other relatives— without their permission.
- Upload medical, educational-psychology or diagnostic reports, whether your own or a third party's: the service is school support and does not need that information.
4. Nature of the service and Artificial Intelligence
AIKI uses Artificial Intelligence models to generate adapted educational content. Although we apply moderation and filters, Artificial Intelligence responses may contain errors; the service is an educational support and does not replace parental supervision or the work of teachers.
Documents provided by the user. On paid plans, the child can attach PDF documents so that their teacher can help them with them. The responsible adult warrants that they hold the necessary rights over any documents uploaded and is responsible for their content. AIKI processes those documents solely to answer the child's query and to check that their content is appropriate for their age; it does not publish them, does not share them with other users and does not use them to train Artificial Intelligence models. We may reject or delete any document that breaches these terms.
5. Subscription, prices and payments
- There is a free plan with limits and a paid plan per child. Current prices are shown before purchase.
- Payments are handled through Stripe. The subscription renews according to the contracted period.
- You can cancel whenever you want; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
- Homework marking: each plan includes a number of corrections per month (1 on the free plan, 4 on Premium and 6 on Annual). The counter resets on the 1st of each month and unused included corrections do not roll over.
- Additional corrections: if the included ones run out, they can be bought in packs of 5 (€2.50) and 10 (€4.99), i.e. €0.50 per correction, as a one-off payment. Before paying, the number of corrections, the total price and the price per unit are shown. Purchased corrections DO NOT expire: they stay in the account until used.
5 bis. Homework marking: what it is and what it is not
Homework marking lets the adult upload a photograph or a PDF of a homework sheet or test belonging to their child and receive a report with a score from 0 to 10 and the detail of each exercise. That score is generated by an Artificial Intelligence system and is INDICATIVE: it is a practice grade for home, it has no academic or official value, and it does not replace the assessment of the child's teachers or school. It must not be used to make decisions about the child's schooling, progression or assessment.
The system can make mistakes reading a handwritten sheet or judging an answer. When it cannot read an exercise it says so explicitly and that exercise is not scored. The uploaded image is not kept (see the Privacy Policy). The upload is only available in the adult's account and the score is shown only to them.
6. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. However, as this is a digital service with immediate execution, if you ask the service to start during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge and accept that, once the service has been fully provided, you will lose the right of withdrawal (art. 16.m of Directive 2011/83/EU, as transposed into Spanish law). The free plan lets you try the service without any upfront payment. To exercise withdrawal, write to the contact email before the period ends and we will refund the corresponding amount.
Specifically for correction packs, this is digital content made available immediately after payment. Before paying you expressly tick a box requesting that performance begin immediately and acknowledge that, as a result, YOU LOSE THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL over the corrections you have already used, under art. 103.m of the Spanish consumer protection act. Purchased and unused corrections can be refunded within 14 calendar days by writing to the contact email.
7. Intellectual property
The AIKI trademark, the software, the designs and the proprietary content belong to the owner or its licensors. The user is granted a personal, non-exclusive license to use the service.
8. Liability
We provide the service with due diligence, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the total absence of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to consumers by law.
9. Suspension and cancellation
We may suspend or cancel accounts that breach these terms. You can cancel at any time from the app; when you do, the retention conditions described in the Privacy Policy apply.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, and unless consumer regulations provide for another jurisdiction, the parties submit to the competent courts. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
